The directive given by The European Waste Electronic & Electrical Equipment (WEEE) stipulates that you have a responsibility to ensure final disposal of all Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment.

Software decommissioning is also important to your company success. It will not be in the interest of your company to have software packages which are not been used by your organisation taking the valuable space on your computers and networks.

By decommissioning all the software and hardware that are no longer in- use. by your organisation might help you to:                                                          a. Meet software licenses obligations                                                            b. Reduces risk of sensitive data being released to unauthorised persons          c.
